Lions Club Windhoek Alte Feste hostet the first Region-E Indaba for 2008. The meeting takes place in the Lions Den from 14th to 16th of March. On the evening 14th the Alte Feste Lions invited their guests for an informal get-together. Delicious Finger-snacks were served and discussions amongst the Lions, under the heading “WE SERVE” took place.

Last Friday was ment for the Lions-family to meet at the Lions-Den in order to receive a "Thank-You Smile" from little 3 year old Keyla Botes, who underwent a cataract surgery by end of last year. The Botes family could not afford the total costs and after his employer Seasonaire donated N$ 5000 and Nam-Ice stepped in with another N$ 2.000 the Alte Feste Lions decided to cover the balance of another N$ 5.000.

Die Besucher aus Deutschland bzw. Holland waren sehr an einem weiteren Projekt interessiert, für welches sich die Alte Feste Lions seit Jahren einsetzen, die Behindertenschule Dagbreek.

Seit geraumer Zeit genießt der Foundation Care Kindergarten im Stadteil Katutura das besondere Interesse der Alte Feste Lions. Da sich der Lions Club Gütersloh-Wiedenbrück traditionell an den Kindergarten-Projekten der Alte Feste Lions beteiligt, war es nur natürlich, daß sich die Delegation aus Deutschland, Berthold Lönne und Vincent van Nas diesen Kindergarten ansehen wollten.
