On Sunday 22/06/2008 Lions Club Windhoek Alte Feste played host to the 130 aged of Huis Sonder Sorge in Okahandja. Amidst a joyful atmosphere an elaborate meal and sweets were served, which had been prepared by the Lions and members of the home. Once again the Lions lived up to their motto "We Serve"

For the first time the Alte Feste Lions were part of the Namibian “Expo” exhibition at the Windhoek Show Grounds which was, according to the organisers, the best ever with more then 15,000 visitors.

The Ehlers couple invited the Alte feste Lions and friends to celebrate Wilna’s Crown Birthday, at the “Kleines Heim” Hotel and Restaurant, on 27th of April. After an excellent lunch people enjoyed the get-together amongst friends in the beautiful garden of Kleines Heim.

For this jubilee-party even friends from Germany arrived and met the host Erika and Bernd at the Alte Feste beergarden for an enjoyous get-together. Alltogether Fortyeight friends joined this party. After some delicious finger-snacks the party went on around the “Theke” and bar-lady Isabelle only closed the bar at around 2 o’clock in the morning. Lions know how to party!
