After almost 37 years of successive male-superiority at the Alte Feste Lions Club, a significant change took place in the first week of August 2007 when, for the first time in the proud history of this most pro-active Club in Namibia, a lady took over the reigns. Lioness Corinna Paulus was inducted as president and will lead the Club for the next two years to new heights.

Lions President Hans Gert Roeschlau, whose presidency for the past two years was extremely successful, handed over the insignia and wished Corinna all the best, while District Governor Holger Sircoulomb officiated the induction ceremony. Afterwards it was dining and wining of the highest note and everybody assured new LP Corinna of his/her unwavering support and loyalty.
