Last Friday was ment for the Lions-family to meet at the Lions-Den in order to receive a "Thank-You Smile" from little 3 year old Keyla Botes, who underwent a cataract surgery by end of last year. The Botes family could not afford the total costs and after his employer Seasonaire donated N$ 5000 and Nam-Ice stepped in with another N$ 2.000 the Alte Feste Lions decided to cover the balance of another N$ 5.000.
The operation was a major succes and a joint meeting was set for Friday the 7th of March. Well the Lions were there in numbers, but the little patient and parents did not show up. Anyway that get-togther was still worth the while because it developed into one of the best Freitags-Stammtisch (I rather would say Party) we ever had. The writer of these lines left around 11.45 p.m. by that time the Party was not over yet…
