Lions honour Frau Jutta Rohwer |
|
Every year the Lions of District 410A (major part of southern Africa) honour women with outstanding humanitarian engagement. One of the nominated women ws Jutta Rohwer, who is exemplary in social activities and supports numerous Kindergarten-Projects all over. Unfortunalty she did not win the award but received a certificate for her endeavour to easen the plight of many children.
Lions President Corinna Paulus handed over the certificate with the follwing words:
As you know we had nominated Mrs Jutta Rohwer for the District 410A Women of the year award. Although she did not win this prestigious award, much to our great disappointment, I can only say, for us she is and remains TOPS!
Her tireless service to the really needy in our community, especially in the black townships and informal settlements is exemplary, whereby the childrens plight take priority. Her involvement in about 130 day care centres, Kindergärten, Creches etc. is a monumental task and proves to be a never ending challenge.
Mrs Rohwer, at least we can hand you a “Nomination Certificate” from our Lions District 410A which we herewith do with pleasure and as a “Trostpreis” you get a little Teddybear. From our Club we say thank you and salute you, Mrs Rohwer.
Thereafter the party started, because ist was also Corinna Paulus’ birthday. As usual it was a good party and we were informed that it was a late party!
