We have been informed by the organisers of the Argus Cycle Tour that entries for the 2008 event have closed as the maximum number of riders (35,000) have already entered.

In order for us to progress this initiative of raising funds for CSFII, we need to ascertain how many Lions cyclists have in fact entered.

Please advice the names of those members who have entered via e-mail to chocking@mweb.co.za . If we have in excess of 200 Lions riders we will approach the Argus organizers with a list of names and registration numbers (before they start with the seeding) to arrange for Lions cyclists to start at the same time. If the number of participants is not worthwhile we will abort the concept of starting together.

Irrespective of the number of Lions entries, the “Peddle for CSFII” will still be held.

There have been a couple of offers made regarding sponsorship of cycling shirts for participants. Please also send details of such proposals to email chocking@mweb.co.za or telephone Cliff Hocking at 082 411 2824 so that we can progress this.
